The quiet work
We are pleased to report that progress continues for our first release, Hope.
We are now in the latter stages of machining the enclosures, switch plates, and authentication crests, and expect to move into surface preparation and anodisation in early August. It is an encouraging position to be in and one that allows us to look ahead with quiet confidence, with fulfilment timelines holding within the third quarter.
In the spirit of complete transparency, we can also confirm that we have now received our respective royalty payments from both Novelkeys and Typeplus. Gondolindrim's agreed amount will, at his request, be remitted upon completion of the Reign PCBs. Such matters are seldom discussed publicly, but we have always believed that transparency extends beyond milestones and into the quieter details that underpin a project.
Choice
An update regarding Reign.
Encouraged by the interest shown thus far, we are now aiming for a higher minimum order quantity than originally anticipated. In doing so, we expect to offer a broader selection of materials, finishes, and configurations than we had first envisaged.
Naturally, introducing a broader range of materials and finishes brings with it certain practical considerations. Not every option will necessarily be available through our partner vendors. Certain configurations, particularly copper and bronze bottom pieces, will receive their clear-cerakote finish here in the United Kingdom, and it would make little logistical sense to offer these variants outside of our own store.
To that end, we have also published an interest check form for Reign, which will help us better understand which materials and kit contents are of interest to you. As ever, your feedback plays an important role in shaping the project, and we would be immensely grateful for your time and consideration.
