01/04/2026

Payment in full has been made for the first keyboard enclosure prototype. The prototype comprises an A96063 aluminium alloy top enclosure, finished in a silver anodised, smooth, blasted texture, paired with an A96063 aluminium alloy bottom enclosure in a dark, deep blue anodised finish of the same refinement. It is accompanied by an additional copper bottom enclosure, presented with a smooth, blasted, clear-coated finish, as well as a selection of switch plates machined from A95052 aluminium alloy, transparent polycarbonate, and carbon fibre.

Production of the initial prototype of the keyboard enclosure and switch plates has been completed.

Initial prototypes of the keyboard enclosure and switch plates have been dispatched and are presently en route to FSR.

Initial prototypes of the keyboard enclosure and switch plates have now arrived at FSR.

The solder PCB design has been finalised by Gondolindrim.

A quotation for the solder PCB samples required for this project has been formally requested.

The quote for the solder PCB samples has been received and the invoice settled in full, with ten solder PCBs now ordered.

A quotation for the magnet samples required for this project has been formally requested.

The quote for the magnet samples has been received and the invoice settled in full, with sixty-four magnets now ordered.

 

06/08/2026

Production of the solder PCB samples has been successfully completed, comprising ten samples.

 

07/08/2026

The solder PCB samples have been dispatched and are presently en route to FSR.

 

09/08/2026

Full payment has been made to Gondolindrim for the hotswap PCB design.

The solder PCB samples have now arrived at FSR.

Production of the magnet samples has been successfully completed, comprising sixty-four samples.

The magnet samples, custom-made in England for this project, have now been dispatched and are due to arrive with us within the next day.

The magnet samples have now arrived at FSR.

 

17/09/2026

Following extensive evaluation of the keyboard enclosure across multiple switch and switch plate combinations, the prototype has now been formally approved. The final version of the enclosure will incorporate only minor refinements, with no fundamental changes to the design or construction.

The hotswap PCB design has been finalised by Gondolindrim.
